IC RULES

The following can be found posted in every major room of the building; it's typed and unsigned, and kept mounted in a steel frame, behind bulletproof glass.

This is a trust-building exercise, designed and approved for use at Beacon General Hospital. It's designed to foster leadership skills, encourage initiative-taking and trust-building, and to ensure that those participating learn valuable life skills. Those taking part shall be hereafter referred to as Patients; the exercise shall be overseen by at least one individual, hereafter referred to as the Transmitter.

Protocol to ensure successful exercise completion is as follows:

1. All Patients will live a communal lifestyle within the hospital's walls, with no time limit on the duration of their stay. All Patients' needs will be met for the duration of the exercise, to the best of the hospital's ability.

2. The hours between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM are considered "night time." During night time, some areas of the facility are off-limits to Patients; familiarize yourselves with these locations.

3. Sleeping is only permitted in the rooms prepared for all Patients in the dormitory area. Anyone found to be in violation of this rule will be punished accordingly.

4. Patients are encouraged to investigate and utilize the facility to their liking.

5. Violence against the Transmitter is forbidden, unless a Patient is given explicit permission from the Transmitter to engage.

6. Violence against other Patients is permitted, with no particular restrictions on your actions.

7. The death of a Patient has potential to end the course; should a Patient wish to terminate the course early, they have only to ensure that someone dies without the guilty party being discovered.

8. Additional rules may be added if necessary, at the Transmitter's discretion.

9. One way or another, all Patients are expected to take responsibility for their actions.
