APPLICATIONS

To apply, please fill out the following form and submit it in comments. We ask that you do not post your apps to your journals, for the sake of keeping motives and mole possibilities a secret!

OOC:

Name:
Age: [Players must be at least 15 years of age.]
Timezone:
Reserve link: [Apps will not be accepted without a link to the corresponding reserve!]
OOC Contact: [Plurk and/or AIM are preferred! Note: A LOT of our plotting happens over Plurk, so it's greatly recommended that you have one!]

IC:

Name:
Age: [Characters must be at least 18 years of age to be eligible for the game; headcanon is acceptable within reason if no canon age is given. There's also a maturity clause as stated in the FAQ!]
Canon:
History: [Wiki links are accepted and welcome! If the wiki doesn't have sufficient information, you can go ahead and write up a brief synopsis of your character's role in their canon. We're not asking for a full manifesto, just enough to give us an idea of what they've been through.]

Canon Point: [There is a memory loss element to this game; as such, we're asking you to pick two canon points – the first should be earlier on, and this will be where the character believes they're from; the second will be their true canon point, and will be realized as the game goes on.]
Memories: [Pick between six and eight memories, set between your character's first and second stated canon points. After each successful trial, your character will regain one of these memories; players will decide which memories are regained.]
Material Regains: [Pick five items to be placed in the vending machine, to be possibly regained as the game goes on. Characters are allowed one renewable item that can be regained multiple times, at any given time, but a renewable item is not required! This can just be five regular items if you want. No magical items or artifacts, no weapons, no modes of transportation that involve a motor or are otherwise self-propelling (skateboards are fine, mopeds are not), no corpses, no parts of corpses (though containers of blood are acceptable), no items or artifacts that actively contain any souls of any sort, no normal animals living or dead (magical companions such as Pokémon that will not straight-up die in the machine are fine, your normal housecat unfortunately needs to stay home, small non-autonomous robots may be accepted on a case-by-case basis). Cigarettes and alcohol are acceptable; harder drugs are not.]

Basic alignment: [We're not asking for anything D&D-related, necessarily, but if you want to present it that way, that is fine! We just want to have a basic idea of where your character lies on the spectrum – basically, where they lie on the "cinnamon roll to complete Satan" scale.]
Strengths and Weaknesses: [This is where the important stuff goes. Treat it with as much care as you would any other game's personality section; show off your knowledge of the character and how their personal strengths and weaknesses affect them as a person.]
Skills and Abilities: [Anything special your character does? Things they're better at than anyone else in the world (or maybe just the tri-county area)? List up to three of their strongest skills here.]
Motives: [This is a game based around murder. What would motivate your character to kill, or what are some things that are very important to them – perhaps more than life itself?]
Sample: [Either link us to a recent thread (within the last six months) that you've done with the character you're apping, or write a brief sample within the game's setting. Either first or third person is acceptable; minimum 200 words.]

Plot Involvement:

Would you prefer that your character be a victim, a culprit, or do you have no preference? [We won't 100% guarantee that you'll get the role you want, but this will help us match pairs up in the event of people volunteering in the below section.]
Would you like to volunteer to have your character killed off? [If you came into the game with this in mind, let us know here! We'll be more than happy to slot you in and accommodate you in this regard.]
Would you be willing to have your character be a mole or a killswitch? [This will involve a bit more involvement, and frequent and direct contact with the Transmitter will be both expected and required – there may or may not be some interesting consequences in store for your character, should you choose to have them fill this particular position, but it also comes with its perks. And just as a reminder – if you're selected for this role, absolute secrecy is necessary.]
